We have an efficient team of brokers in our chartering department in India, which handles both government controlled  and private commercial cargoes. mi Trans chartering division have been successful in concluding a number of fixtures for both, cargo and vessels. The company has a team of dedicated brokers, who are constantly in touch with the market and are capable of advising the clients about the changing market scenario. We have been successful in establishing a very close working relationship with a number  of ship owners and charters and offer them the highest level of personalized service. We have chartered for our clients, in addition to normal dry cargo vessels a wide range of vessels - from small tug boats, passenger vessels, containers to large cape size vessels, LPG and chemical carriers. Over the years, mi Trans has developed a worldwide network of associates and principals to cater to all the requirements of the dripping trade keeping in mind the vagaries of international trade.

We continue to lead the industry over the past five decades with innovative systems and constant up-gradation of technology. A rapid increase in shipping movements has created a demand for specialised service for our domestic and foreign clients thus in order to cater successfully to the principals customised needs, the Ship Broking department is divided into three divisions namely Dry Cargo Chartering, Tanker Chartering & Sale-Purchase & Demolition Broking. These divisions act as exclusive or competitive brokers on behalf of principals and are further split into cargo or tonnage specific desks which facilitates prompt and efficient responses to all enquiries received. Each of these desks consists of trained brokers rendering quality services to their respective principals.

Dry Cargo Chartering

The Dry Cargo division operates as brokers for cargoes and tonnage ranging from 5,000mt up to cape size vsls. Our client list comprises of Owners and Charterers from Indian Government Undertakings and Private Companies based in India and Overseas. Our chartering team specialises in the full range of dry cargo commodities : Coal, Iron Ore, Fertilizers, Agri products, Steels, Generals and project cargoes to name a few. We are very actively working with Owners based in India and abroad on both voyage and time charter, c.o.a's/c.v.s.', short/long term period employment. We also have an IPP DESK which is solely concentrating on the logistic solutions of power plants in India. These Charterers are looking for cost effective freight solutions on long term basis.

Tanker Chartering

With a rapidly expanding Indian Tanker Fleet as well as a significant rise in import and export of petroleum and specialized products, a need has arisen for broking houses to have a dedicated team of brokers focusing on different segments of the tanker market, a concept in which we have been the pioneers. The tanker chartering division is segregated into four cargo specific desks, and handles Indian import, export and coastal cargoes as well as other cargoes moving world wide. In addition, we work the clean tonnage owned by Indian Owners.

• Dirty : We are one of the most active Indian brokers for crude and fuel oil fixtures done by private Charterers as well as public sector  undertakings such as BPCL, HPCL, IOCL, MRPL, ONGC and SCI. In addition, we regularly work Indian tankers seeking employment. The sizes worked by this desk range from 5,000 Metric Tons up to VLCC. We also work cargoes and tonnage of Foreign Oil Companies,  Traders as well as Ship Owners and Operators.

• Specialised : Growing demands of the increasing population as well as rapid industrialization, has made India very active in the import and export of Edible Oils, Chemicals and Gases, etc. Based on the close association we have  with several Owners and Charterers of such specialized tonnage, we secure a substantial share of this business. The sizes of these shipments vary from 1,000 up to 50,000 Metric Tons.

• Time Charters, Projects and Research : Our team of spot chartering brokers are supplemented by an experienced team of brokers focussing on time charters, projects and research. Vast network of offices all around the Indian coastline  and our direct contact with global energy players give us an edge in providing our clients a wide range of information they need to explore opportunities and take advantage of the market scenario

Sale - Purchase & Demolition

This division is involved in Broking as well as Project Development for our clients who need to buy or sell a ship for onward trading or demolition at Indian Scrap Yards. We assist Indian and foreign owners in sale and purchase of new building or second hand tonnage as well as sale of their existing tonnage. Having good relations with Indian Ship Breakers we are active in sales of foreign flag vessels intended for demolition.
